A masculine card

I've never found it easy to make card's for men,

might be because I like to embellish and I find it hard to embellish manly..

But last week I needed a card for my Father In Law 

and this is how it turned out..

I used the new Layer Cake clear stamp set 

and used puffy dots under some of the layers to give it more dimensions.

 I have used the sweet Hello Ian  and the new Fence die 

Not often you see those boys cards here but I needed a card for my Nephew so I decided to bring out Ian.

The bird on the Fence is from Studio Calico and the Veneer tag is from Freckled Fawn

Not my strongest side as those how have visited my blog for a while know I rather make cute girly stuff..

I have used Saturated canary - Give big 

The paper is from a MME pad, the stars are Wood Veneer from Studio Calico, He is coloured with Copic 

The die-cut star is a Magnolia die  and the tape is Smash tape

The Sugar Bowl 86 (my sketch)

This time at The Sugar Bowl we're using my sketch

And naughty Sugar Mama made us do Boys cards 

(yes she knows some of us are a bit allergic but then it's good to have some of them lying around too as I do know boys that have birthdays..)

So I used cute Aviator..

(okay I do not like making boys cards and I do not like colouring animals but this guy is cute..)

You see on his pilot glasses and on the plane I added glossy accent.. and even boys cards can have glitter as that busy bee like to sparkle!!
The paper is by My Minds Eye and the stamps are from my husbands old collection that I've taken over.. but they really look much better on my cards than in a box in the basement..
 and as he said there is nothing of value there anyway..

It's a new challenge up at The Sugar Bowl today and this time the option is Spring

 I've used Aviator and you can get him here at Funky Kits.
Isn't he the cutest boy ever??
And NO Elaine.. I have not started to like boys card , just I find this little guy with his cute plane and bee buddy adorable ♥♥
He is colored with Copic
And if you look at the Close up underneath here  you might see I have used glossy accent to make shiny glasses on both him and his friend + what you don't see is that I did the same on the plane..

I almost only use Glossy accent for my gluing.. except on the paper bits then I use double sided tape..
The paper I used is from My Minds Eye (Yes I love those pads..) Greek God

Those who know me know that I get a little anxiety attack by having to make boys cards..

But from time to time I actually need them for birthdays etc..

My husband couldn't understand my fear when I showed him the stamp,

it was one of the coolest stamps he had seen so I decided to calm down and make a cool card out of it.

Now I will not admit to this again but I really had a lot of fun coloring him and I am very pleased with the card!

No boy's cards are not what I usually make and fishing isn't my idea of fun,

but I think I know a few guy's that might think so, so I thought I'd make a birthday card out of it :)

What? No girl card? again?

Yes those of you who follow my blog know I'm more one for sweet and sassy, and boy's cards is really not my 'cup of tea' But when you look at Chester's big sweet eyes don't you just want to cuddle him??

It's a VERY C&S card for me, as I usually like to put in both lace and flowers but it's a boy's card..

Sweet baby ♥

We have had a few friends who have got baby this year so here's the first baby card this year and one more will be coming soon. The image is from Motivet and the paper is Prima. The cute baby boy is colored with copics and outlined with black prisma pencils.

It was my sweet understanding (about my scrapbook/cardmaking addiction) husband's birthday yesterday, and even though he had already got his pressie from me and my sweet 5 year old had also mad him a birthday card I wanted to make him one too.
